Welcome to the Rotary Club of Longboat Key

The Rotary Club of Longboat Key is a welcoming, vibrant group of active and retired business, professional, and community leaders who enjoy working together to create, implement, and financially support projects that benefit the local community and the world. We invite you to join us in addressing critical issues, such as children at risk, hunger, environment, illiteracy, veterans’ needs, health, and community safety … all while enjoying fellowship and camaraderie with a group of friends who support each other and have fun together!

Rotary is the world’s first volunteer service organization, founded in Chicago in 1905. Today Rotary International is comprised of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, and community leaders in more than 43,000 clubs in 200+ countries who come together to create positive, lasting change -- both locally and internationally.

Donations to Rotary LBK Charitable Fund, the Club’s 501(c)(3) charitable arm, finance the many projects and programs approved by the organization’s Board and conducted by Rotary Club members and partner organizations. Since the Club’s founding in 2014, those projects have included the following:

  • Annual Veterans Day events to honor and support our local veterans
  • Supporting Longboat Key's first responders
  • Literacy and grade-level reading
  • Hunger and food-insecurity
  • Early childhood water safety program
  • Supporting the environment
  • Promoting our local dog park and pet owners
  • International projects
  • And much, much more!
