Rotary LBK Charitable Fund, Inc. is the 501(c)(3) corporation through which the members of the Rotary Club of Longboat Key fund their many youth and community service projects in the greater Sarasota and Manatee County region. Just a few examples:

  • Youth: The organization's hands-on youth projects include a focus on literacy and grade-level reading programs for 1st and 2nd graders in a Title I elementary school located in Sarasota, as well as an interactive early childhood water safety program for kindergarten students at the school.
  • Environment: The Rotary Club of Longboat Key is the lead organization in a collaboration among film students from the Ringling College of Art + Design, Longboat Key Turtle Watch, Save Our Seabirds, Mote Marine Laboratories, the Town of Longboat Key, and other local partners to develop an environmental stewardship and educational program with a focus on the coastal ecology sustainability challenges faced by Florida's Suncoast region.
  • Veterans: Since it was founded in 2014, the Rotary Club of Longboat Key has organized and conducted Longboat Key-based programs to honor local veterans on Veterans Day. Plans are underway now for the 2024 Veterans Day program.
